Questions about this item:

Tom B  I have a Sony NEX-7 camera with E mount. Will this lens adapter work with my Canon EFS 17 - 55 MM lens?
GARTH M  Yes , manual focus only!
BARRY G  Yes it should work albeit only manually. Will not autofocus.
MICHAEL V  It will work, but you can't control the aperture on the lens. You have to adjust your exposure compensation through the wheel on the camera.
Andrew R  This adapter should mount nearly any EF or EF-S lens on nearly any NEX series camera. Unfortunately any automation (focus, exposure, etc.) will likely be inoperative while using this adapter.
Tom B  Thank you Andrew.
R V  Can the focus and aperture and other auto features on the Canon EOS lenses be controlled by the Sony NEX camera through this adapter? Thanks.
LUCAS K  No this is a passive adapter.
MATTHEW G  No. This is a mounting adapter only.
MICHAEL N  Dear R.V You will no longer have any auto features. Every optical setting will be manually functioning. This gizmo only allows you to use a Canon EOS on the Sony NEX, nothinbg else., aperture and focusing stay the same as though you use a Canon machine. Hope my answers help. Michael
RICHARD C  No, you are stuck with using the aperture wide open with manual focus. Also, the camera has to be set to shoot without a lens attached. that's in the menu. It makes this adapter pretty limited.
DOUGLAS H  no, the adapter is passive. everything on the lens must be controlled manualy. if the lens does not have an f-stop ring that allows you to change stops on the lens barrel you will only have the stop last set avavilable to you.
GEOFFREY K  No. I use the adapter for another adapter so I can use 2 Zeiss lenses that are both manual aperture and focus. The auto canon lenses default to their normal open widest f stop with this adapter. With the Nex. 7 the focusing can be done manually and I prefer manual. There is a lot of info online that is helpful. The adapter also adds about 15-20mm in size to each lens. My 28 Mm Zeiss is about 40-50 mm. My 50 mm is about 80-90 mm because of displacement.
BARRY G  No. All lense settings become manual.
alma s  Will it work with this lens? CANON FD 100mm f2.8 S.S.C I have read this specific lens can be used with NEX cameras, but don't know if this will be the adapter that can make it
BRYAN W  Yes, this adapter will work with the Canon FD Lens. Keep in mind that this is a "dumb" adaptor, so you must be able able to set your focus and f-stop on the lens manually. If you anticipate using newer EF canon lens you should consider the Metabones "smart" adapter that will communicate with the camera letting you use the lens in auto mode. This works particularly well with the Canon 85mm f1.2 EF lens. The Metabones adaptor is good deal more expensive in the 350-400 dollar range.
JERRY H  No. You need an adapter for FD lens to Sony Nex, not the EOS mount.
BARRY G  I used the adapter successfully with Cannon lenses. Note that the automatic focus and stabilization features don't work, everything is manual.
Andrew R  Unfortunately no, this adapter works with Canon EOS lenses and is not compatible with Canon FD. The adapter you require may be found here:
