Does what Canon should have done!

When I got my Powershot S95, I felt that some grip was missing. Then I found Flipbac's grip and read some reviews about it, and decided to buy it. It really fits well, and now the camera feels secure with just one hand. As a plus, it doesn't affect the pocketability of the camera, and looks like it is an original part of the camera.

Doesn't Work for Canon S95

I put this on my S95 hoping to add some stability when shooting. It goes on easy and is of top quality materials and nice design. The problem is that it doesn't work. I still find the camera more stable and easier to hold with two hands. Also, using the grip cause my thumb to accidentally press buttons. It doesn't really hurt anything having it on there and it doesn't get in the way when holding with two hands so I guess I will leave it on there for now. It does hang up on my camera pouch whe...

Very useful!

I bought this for my Olympus E-PM1. It does improve the holding by a large degree (I have small hands). The camera can be much easily held one-handed. The only problem is deciding where it is best to attach it (I mean, fraction of an inch up or down, right or left). Testing it without attaching is useless, since it both the camera and the protective sheets are very slippery. Removing after attaching it should be possible (according to manufacturer website) but I wasn't able to, so I ended up with a placement which does not satisfy me 100% (otherwise it would have been 5 stars). You may try a weak double-sided tape for testing the position which would work best for you, and that may give you a 5-star product. Besides this little glitch, it's a must have thing, which leaves one wondering why didn't Olympus include one in some of their cameras (I believe the new models all solved this issue)

small piece of carefully cut gravel tape would serve same purpose for a fraction of the price, would have returned if cost effective

Works well for my Canon S95

I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to the Richard Franiec grip and this is it! Easy to stick onto my Canon PowerShot S95 and gives it a firm, sure one-handed grip.

Using it with my Olympus PEN E-PL3

By

from Alburtis, PA  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

The Olympus E-PL3 is great because it packs a lot in a small camera. However, since it is so compact there is no front grip. This item is the missing piece to making this camera feel great to hold and use. Easily attaches and doesn't feel like it will come off unless I want it off.
