Clips on the same way that Nikon's plastic screen protector but doesn't scratch as easily. It seems to be very secure and optically clear. No sticky stuff on the camera to remove if it needs to be replaced.

Product is exactly what should have been provided by Nikon. Snaps on easily , provides protection, and looks really great. Slight loss of screen brightness. Highly Recommended.

I previously purchased this same product from a different vender before Adorama began carrying it under their "Flashpoint" brand (same maker, model, same packaging, etc.) My original product like Nikon's own plastic screen protector that came with my D800 did not fit tightly. I ended up losing both. Fortunately, having now purchased replacements of both Nikon's own plastic and this Flashpoint glass protector, the problem has been rectified and both replacements fit tightly. That being said, this is a great screen protector. It looks much better than Nikon's plastic cover, and the black bezel offers better contast. The glass is clearer. Probably the best part is that the back side has a felt backing around the entire perimiter that does a good job of keeping dust from getting behind the glass. Although the glass might scratch and/or shatter it seems more than strong enough to me, and I did not have any issues in that regard with the first one.

Be sure and set your LCD brightness adjustment to auto, or a higher setting than you were using. At first, I could not see anything, then I set my brightness to auto and it all popped into view.
