Every now and then I want to use one of my Hasselblad lenses on my Canon camera body. It works very well in the studio or controlled shooting environment.

I forgot to mention in my previous review that this connection ring does NOT have a tripod connection thread as advertised. This is simply a connection ring.

This connector ring is well constructed, allowing me to utilize fine quality Carl Zeiss lenses with my Canon 5D Mark II. There are two issues I have encountered; one very minor the other of greater concern. Of minor concern is the red indexing dot embedded in the chrome portion of the ring is hard to see, making connection to the body a little more difficult under low light conditions. Had a white dot been placed on the black portion of the ring, this would not be a concern. The second concern is that I have experienced internal light flare using this ring with my Zeiss lenses which results in lowered contrast and occasionally serious light flare. Use of a lens shade is critical and one must be careful with side and front lighting conditions. It does allow infinity focus and the lens attachment is relatively tight from my experience.

This lens mount adapter allows Hasselblad Bayonet lens to fit on Canon EOS camera body. .
Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering since the lens does nothave the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode with EOS body. Infinity focusing is guaranteed.
