The ZAGGkeys Folio is a mere 7.1mm thin, just more than a quarter of an inch and only 18.8mm, or about two-thirds of an inch, when holding your Galaxy Note 8.0. This makes it one of the thinnest keyboards available. But while it is smaller and easier to carry, it actually offers 30% more typing room than the competition. In addition, it features a pivoting hinge that allows you to place your Galaxy Note 8.0 at virtually any viewing angle, just like a laptop screen. Open it up, set it to your preferred angle and off you go typing in comfort.
The Folio zips along on a powerful battery that will keep it powered for up to three months of regular use between charges. In addition it offers backlit keys that make typing in low light areas easy on the eyes and responsive, island-style keys that provide a natural and speedy typing experience. With these features and more, ZAGGkeys Folio is the all in one solution for typing on the go.

Awesome keyboards, not much else to say. I love the backlight. I'm hoping they come out with one for the samsung galaxy 10.1 soon! Maybe with enough requests... ;)

There is a very this piece of plastic at each of these areas that has broken as I took the tablet out once to put in a slimmer case for travelling. While this has not really impeded the functionality of the case or keyboard, it is really annoying to go hand in hand with previous minor issues. I would still recommend this product, but not as much as I previously would have, this engineering design should be reconsidered.

I purchased the folio for one of my users who have the Note. They loved having an actual keyboard to type on instead of using the on screen or the type that is not raised. Thanks!!!
Excellent keyboard and excellent battery I love it and light are so cool and useful
I love the size, convenience, portability, and usability of the keyboard. I can drop it in my purse and take it anywhere and I can work on stuff or just read a book as I go about my errands. LOVE LoVE it!!!
Fits great, works great but I have two issues. Some parts of the clam shell to hold a Note 8.0 has very thin portions of plastic that cracked. Mine happened at the power switch and the audio jack. No physical abuse to cause it. I would say, just expect it. My other issue is that the hinge has quite a bit of play in the open position. There is no way to adjust it. Not sure if that is normal but it hasn't present itself to be a major problem.
I purchased this case/keyboard in February. I've used it for several conferences where I needed to take notes, but didn't want to bring my 17" laptop. I took nearly 30 pages of notes at one three-day conference. I LOVE this case/keyboard!! CASE First, as a case, it's nearly perfect. It is as compact as possible, barely exceeding the dimensions of the tablet itself. Even with the keyboard, it's fairly slim - measures 0.7". The case is fairly rugged (see "problems" below) and does a good job of protecting the tablet. The openings for the controls, camera, and stylus are good. The only problem I've had is one particular set of earbuds that didn't fit securely because of the case. Earbuds are cheap, though. I bought the white case, since my tablet is white. The case is a combination of a hard plastic and rubbery material. The rubbery part is nice because it provides grip, but it does tend to show a little dirt. I've started using disposable screen cleaning wipes, and after cleaning the screen I am now in the habit of cleaning the case also. It cleans pretty well, and still looks good. KEYBOARD The keyboard in this case is awesome. It's just big enough to touch type on; I don't think you could do that with a 7" tablet. The island-style keys are responsive, but don't have a click. Most of the keys are in the proper location, but several less frequently used keys are quadrupled. This means instead of hitting the key, or the shift-key combination, you can also hit the fn-key and shift-fn-key combo for the other characters. This is slightly annoying, but doesn't happen very frequently. The backlight for the keyboard is awesome; you have a choice between no backlight or 3 brightness levels. I usually use the dimmest setting. There are 7 different colors to choose from. I have a couple of minor issues with the keyboard; see "problems" below. PROBLEMS I gave this keyboard/case 4 stars instead of 5 due to a couple of minor problems. First, the case: the hinge isn't as strong as I thought it was, and I apparently tilted the screen back too far. This caused a small crack in the hinge on one side, which makes the screen look a little crooked. Second, the keyboard: I occasionally get a duplicated keystroke. When this happens, it usually enters several - or more - copies of the keystroke, so it's obvious. This is fairly rare, maybe once in a full page of text at most. Lastly, I occasionally lose the bluetooth connection. I haven't been able to find a pattern to this; one blog I was reading suspected that it happens in a location where several, or many people are using bluetooth devices simultaneously. I haven't been able to confirm this. The result is, maybe once or twice a week I have to go into the settings and either (1) recheck the box that says something like "use this device for input" or (2) occasionally have to unpair and then repair the keyboard. Annoying, but not really a problem. Most of the time the keyboard connects within a couple of seconds of me pressing a key. ZAGG I have been using ZAGG products for quite a few years. The screen protectors they make are incredible! I wouldn't use any other. This is my first ZAGG product that was not a screen protector. I contacted ZAGG this morning about this case, and they are replacing it under warranty. Now that I know not to open the screen quite so far, that should help. I hope the replacement resolves some of the other issues as well. It was very easy to navigate their web site and request the replacement. BOTTOM LINE Despite a few minor problems, I really do love this case. Even if I wasn't getting a replacement, I would still like it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of these minor annoyances. Perhaps your mileage will vary!
I bought this about 3 weeks ago. Hard to sync, wont stay synced, The white leather case shows dirt very easily and is hard to clean. I take this case to meetings at work. It is not used in a dirty environment. I can not use this case because it looks so dirty all the time. It shows every fingerprint and quickly gets gray around the seams and it stains. I like the back-lighting, and the keyboard layout. I have other wonderful Zagg products, but this is not up to the normal quality.
I like an accessory that is built for the thing in question - so having this over a generic bluetooth tablet folio made me excited. It works as advertised. The Note 8 fits well, camera and S-Pen are readily available, as are charging ports, speakers etc. The keyboard is a joy to use - just the right size to be workable for my big hands. The backlight is excellent and you can change the colours. It seems to run several weeks between charges. My only complaint is that it cracked in two places the first time I tried to remove the tablet from the case. The case that holds the tablet itself is plastic. On the edges which grip the tablet in place, there are necessary cut-outs for the volume and power buttons as well as for the S-Pen. The thinner side of these cut-outs broke at the volume button and the S-Pen button openings. It makes the tablet a slightly looser fit in the shell, but it doesn't compromise the funtionality. So, all in all, a minor detail but worth dropping this rating a star. I wonder if the case was stronger or maybe aluminium this wouldn't happen. The outside is a rubbery backing so it doesn't slip out of your grip. It's white so it does pick up the dirt a bit, but easy to clean. Overall, I am happy with the addition to my Note 8 and would buy this again if needed.
Keys are great size for being such a compact size. I am typing this review on my Galaxy Note 8.0 right now. It looks great, protects my tablet and makes typing easy. Only thing i found was every so often an onscreen character option comes up fòr letters as you see above my letters in this review. I am sure it is some setting I can change. I just got it an hour ago so haven't figured it out yet
This keyboard is absolutly amazing!! It is so easy to type on and it makes my galaxy feel like a mini laptop. I take it to school with me because the battery lasts for such a long time and it does not tip over because of the weight. Great design and I am very pleased with my purchase. One thing to remember is when you click on a place to type, the samsung keyboard will pop up, to get rid of that simply press the back key on the keyboard and it will close the samsung keyboard so there is no interference. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! And the backlit keys are a great touch as well. Well worth the price.
Haven't heard any complaints....definitely gives a more professional appearance to the device.
