The Digieffects Buena Depth Cue v2 Plug-in provides After Effects professionals with an optimum solution for creating visual depth in their projects. With 6 composition-based effects, Buena Depth Cue v2 provides innovative workflows that allow you to simulate Z depth better than the After Effects depth of field. You can use the Depth effect with Buena Depth Cue v2 to create grayscale depth maps. While working on your footage using Adobe After Effects 6.5 and later, you can pre-compose the depth for your video clip increasing the efficacy of your lens blur effect.

With support for multiple compound blur effects, the Depth effect for Buena Depth Cue v2 Plug-in allows you to pull a rack focus effect on your post-production video footage. With the Falloff Lighting effect, you can simulate the way a light source's output diminishes over a distance casting shadows wherever required. The Atmosphere effect allows you to simulate the way human vision fades over a distance making objects seem distant and unclear. You can easily adjust the intensity and distance scale for elements that move around in the Z space of your composition.

Rack Focus enables you to easily set the depth of field and the Z distance of the focus target in your composition. You can confine the focus to certain areas or objects in the composition, thus giving them prominence. Flipside allows you to map one layer on the backside of another layer without creating any gap between the 2 layers and without any occlusion problems that commonly occur when creating a composition with 2 layers put very close together.
