The drum kit didn't actually fix the problem with the printer. It does work but the clunking noise while printing is still there.

Affordable and fixes the fading black problem. Unfortunately the last one needed replacement after only 5000 sheets or so.

We have had the printer that this belongs to for 2 years now. The printer broke in the first 8 months and was not under warranty. Connectors on the internal board which connect to the toner cartridges. We were able to find a repair tech who knew dell printers and had it fixed. He recommended we sell it asap since the mother board and drum units are common to go, sure enough we got it back and the drum went bad in less than a month. So it sat until I purchased this part, and now I sold my head ache to some one else for less than what I paid for the drum. The best part is...its gone.

We have replaced the Imaging drum once already in this unit and it was covered under the Dell warranty. Now the replacement that is only 5 months old is gone and Dell won't cover it. Poor service if you ask me!

This product is very easy to install, takes about 2 minutes if that. My printer was printing very poorly until I replaced this part and immediately the color was rejuvinated and everything was great! If you are experiencing poor print quality and have tried all of the steps to fix, this is usually what needs to be replaced to correct the issue.
