Low end device

By

from Halifax NS  -  Quality Oriented

Used to backup memory cards when on trips. device s/w has several or more bugs. i can repeat the same commands and hang the device forcing a battery removal to get control back. However, the beats carrying a laptop on the road. Epson devices may be better but have low capacity. 500GB very good! I hope the crashes don't cost me my images. Just bought it, going on the road soon...

Questions about this item:

Mark C  What is the largest capacity card this will accept 32gb sdhc class 10 specifically?
STEVE S  Mark, I've been disappointed - have not been able to successfully download any images as the Porter has crashed several times. Class 10 is way too fast and the instructions state you have to download to the Picture Porter using a separate card reader. If it were me, I would look for a different medium to back up photographs. I think this is a case of technology outrunning the manufacturer. On a separate note, I just haven't had the time to fully appreciate all the specific nuances. Good luck.
