I have been without a fully functioning tripod for several years, and wanted something that folded compactly and was not heavy. I had seen this before on the Adorama website and when it went on sale, I made the purchase. It is well constructed and has handled well my D70 with a Tokina 10-24. Fully extended, it is not as stable as a heavier tripod, but for me its stability issue is minor when I consider the benefits of being compact and lighter in weight as I shlep my gear into the mountains, or during vacations. I also liked the simplicity of the quick release plate.

We travel a great deal with my ministry, shooting for missions and missionaries around the world. With air travel restrictions becoming more difficult, I needed a light weight, yet tough, tripod that could slip into my clothing bag, there never being enough room with my photo gear weight and dimension allotments. This tripod is tough! Very sturdy! I use it with the Nikon as well as with the Sony video cams. For the money, it is as good and maybe better than either my studio tripods...a Slik and a Manfrotto! You will not be dissapointed with the Dolica unit...especially at the price Adorama is selling it for! Definitely go for it! Blessings!

Great compact tripod! Much better construction than cheaper tripods. Good quick release plate. Tripod sets up and collapses easily into an included bag. I use this with a fairly bulky Hasselblad outfit and it is quite stable.

I read a lot of reviews of different tripods from Dolica and finally decided to get this one for its compact size, height when fully extended, and ability to take a heavy duty like my D700 and a 24-70 lens usually coupled with it. It is indeed a good size for traveling around with it, even compact enough to fit easily into my medium size backpack. And the full height is quite enough for a 6 feet photographer like me. The only complaint I have is with its stability. Maybe this has to do with its 5 segment design which adds a little flexibility around nodes. The ball head isn't that stable either. I have to adjust ~15 degrees higher before really leave my hands off the lense in order to put the horizon into my viewfinder. Lighter camera and lens system might do just well on this. Overall it's a pretty good tripod for carrying around.

This solid constructed tripod is an overall good buy. However Don't let the "travel" part fool you. Yes it folds up small after several minutes of unscrewing and collapsing. It is not a quick process to set up, or collapse and fit into its travel case. However once stored, it is quite small. The legs locks consist of 4 screws and take a lot of time to set up, and if you don't go tight enough they slide easy. The connection to the camera via the quick release is nice, and so is the ball head. It doesn't allot for 100% free motion, but you can tilt up down left and right quickly and easily. Overall, for MY use as a casual night photographer I find it useful. But I wouldn't recommend it to someone who needs quick setup and movement.

I'm so happy I purchased this!! It can be a little unstable if you're not aligning the legs right. Once you get there though it is absolutely perfect. It's sturdy & compact. Great price too!!

This is pretty stable and can easily handle about 6-7 pounds of weight. It is extremely portable, light, and comes with nice padded case. Comparable tripods are three times more expensive than this one. With the price, you cannot go wrong. If you need to travel light and want to take it whereever you go, get this one.

The Dolica AX600B100T Traveler Edition is the evolution offspring of the popular AX620B100T aluminum tripod. The AX600B100T is the ultimate carry-on tripod for those on the go. The main feature of AX600B100T is its compact 15" collapsed length. This makes it more than suitable to carry-on in most carry-on luggage. This compact collapsed length is capable because its legs invert 180 degrees allowing the ball head to lie within the tripod legs.
At 60", this is a smallest full size tripod on the market at its price point. The AX600B200 is a suitable height for most people. This tripod comes with the classic B100 ball head used on the AX620B100 as well. It has a simple one lever design to lock both pan and tilt. Each leg utilizes easy-twist locks to expand and collapse the legs. An added benefit of the easy-twist locks is onehanded locking and unlocking for all leg columns. This is beneficial as opposed to single lock locking and unlocking of each twist knob will save you time when preparing your tripod.
All Dolica Pro Line tripods are full featured tripods that include a bubble level, multi-angle leg locks, foam leg grips, reversible center column, and removable ball head. Finally the AX600B100T includes a allen key tool and padded nylon case for storage.
