I bought this bag to use while hiking hoping to leave my big back pack bag at home. This does the job quite well. I use it in the "sling" mode so I can quickly slide the bag to the front and get to my camera without having to take the bag off of my back. My D800 with a Sigma 24-70 easily fits into the side compartment and there is plenty of room to carry my wide angle and another prime. I would recommend this bag for hikers.
