Too slow, very noise fan.

I bought this product on sale, and got it for a good price. I was unsure about buying one, due to some bad comments I read. After speaking with an Adorama rep, he convinced me it would be excellent for my needs. I use it to backup my photography. Unfortunately, it has not lived-up to my expectations. After installing (4) Western Digital, 2 TB, 7200 Caviar Black drives, (recommended by Drobo), the instructions for setting it up were poor. I had to call for technical support to set it up. I still find it confusing that you format it for more space than the size of the combined, installed drives. The explanation from the technician was incomprehensible, but I followed his instructions. The good news is, it's working and I have used about a TB of storage so far. The bad news is, I'm beginning to read a lot of high-profile photographers who are dropping Drobo because of failures and poor support. The warranty is for only one year. Not an issue if it lasts, but there are a lot of people complaining about failures and poor support, after the one year warranty. This is unaceptable. I cannot recommend Drobo as a reliable storage system.
