Works great for a cheap label maker!
Works great for what it is. Bought mine a year ago and never had a problem with it. Not sure why so many people had so many problems with theirs. I've already went through about 16 rolls of labels, and it still works great.

Don't try to build a better mousetrap...
The letters are w a y t o o w i d e l y s p a c e d; in addition, they randomly move up and down on the tape, so things don't line up horizontally. I bought one in the early 1990s which was much, much better. But the issues with the letter spacing really bothers me. I want Dymo to send me one of the old ones!

This label is just like the one my dad used in the 70s. I use it for my photography business and I love the comments people give when they remember when it was a part of their life. I was glad it came with red and black labels so I could try them out. I don't have anything negative to say about it as it does exactly what I need it to do.
This is the most amazing device ever invented. We are lucky to live in a society that can afford such products to Americans
Product jammed within the first dozen labels. Extremely disappointed in its performance. Wouldnt recommend this product at all.
Whoa the production quality control must have improved since the first review of this product! I just bought mine in December 2012 and can't be happier with it. True, spacing is wide, and there's the occasional misalignment (but nothing as atrocious as the "canned goods" example from the other review). Like another customer I bought it for the nostalgia factor and need for something that doesn't require batteries and electronic displays. I loved mine some 30+ years ago and recently was yearning for one of those again. I don't know why so many customers are upset about the large spacing and occasional misalignment - I remember that's how things were with my old one 30+ years ago. Anyhow I love my new one. And there *is* a space bar on my daisy wheel - next to the scissors.
It is great item and the stickers stick
I use this great product to label circut breaker pannels. One other thing to mention is that i live in Minnesota and it get very cold up here...the labels STAY stuck to the metal box and the plastic breaker in below zero temps!
We use this to label product bins
A throwback to old school labeling systems. I love the embossed dymo tape and labeler, and how easy it is to use. I was afraid that this was going to be "vintage" prices bec I know know anyone who still uses this type of label maker, but it was extremely affordable. It comes with red and black tapes.
Let me join the ever growing list of dissatisfied buyers. Cheap it may be but that does not excuse Dymo for deliberately misleading buyers. I bought this model because the illustrated examples on the packaging show neat and tightly spaced lettering. The truth is anything but. The letter spacing is random and about one and a half to two times the illustrations. Shame on Dymo.
THIS LABEL MAKER IS REALLY GOOD, I'LL RECOMMENDED IT
