Description
This is an EIZO CG221 ColorEdge 22.2" Color TFT LCD graphic monitor with hood. The CG221 reproduces the Adobe RGB color space and incorporates a newly developed integrated circuit to produce uniform color and brightness from corner to corner. With the bundled ColorNavigator software and a 12-bit look-up table, the CG221 delivers accurate and reliable hardware calibration so soft proofing can be done with confidence.
The CG221 has an expanded color space that reproduces Adobe RGB, meaning it not only covers the sRGB color space supported by many standard monitors, but also CMYK color spaces used for printing. The extra-wide 22.2-inch screen supports 1920 x 1200 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio), meaning that it can display a two-page A4 spread with no clipped edges.
To ensure that the ColorEdge CG221 produces the most accurate and consistent color gradations possible, EIZO carefully measures and sets every shade of R, G, and B from 0 - 255 on the production line with the monitor's 12-bit Look-Up Table (LUT), to produce a monitor gamma value of 1.8. If a different value is preferred, the bundled ColorNavigator software can be used to assign a value ranging from 1.0 - 2.6 in increments of 0.1. |
