when it works it works
very frustrating product. sometimes it locks in place easily and quickly, others it won't lock at all. I had to replace one since it did not work at all. now another one has had the circular lock band snap off and I will have to replace it, too, at a hefty price

Inconsistent
I bought two of these to use with all of my Elinchrom softboxes and the B1. One of the adapters works like a jiffy: pops on easy and stays on with no problems. The other one simply does not work. Will not latch on. Falls off all of the time.

Stick with Profoto
I got this adapter so I can use Elinchrom 39" Octa for my Profoto D1 and Acute B2. I just returned this item because I was not satisfied with the design quality.
1. It wasn't as sturdy and tight compared to using a Profoto Speedring.
2. The D1 Dome as well as the B2 Head would not fit the front reflector of the adaper.
I'll just stick with Profoto Speeding and Light Shaping tools!
