About ExpoImaging

Optimized for lens focal lengths over 100mm, Rogue Safari focuses the light froma DSLR's pop-up flash to greatly increase the available flash power at extended distances. Molded from rugged polycarbonate materials, Safari is designed to travel as a durable companion to your DSLR. The Safari's spring mount attaches securely to the DSLR's hot shoe.

Safari is designed to work with all crop-sensor (APS-C/DX) Canon and Nikon DSLRs. Nikon full-frame DSLRs like the D600 will have sub par Safari lens performance. Canon full-frame DSLRs like the 5D and 1D series do not have pop up flashes. While the Rogue Safari Pop-up Flash Booster is compatible with the vast majority of modern DSLRs, some early model cameras, including the Canon 10D, 20D and 30D will not accommodate the adapter.

Rogue Safari is patent pending.

Does What it Says

Really boosts the range of your flash. Found it really useful for fill flash on birds and it really did a great job lighting an Owl in deep twilight. Must follow instructions and change flash mode from Evaluate to Average to get consistent results. Materials appropriate for price of this item.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Will the Rogue Safari work on a Canon SX50 ?
ALEXANDER Q  Hi, I just looked up images of the Canon SX50. From what I can tell it should fit over the pop-up flash just fine. I think you will enjoy the flash projection!
ERNEST P  Will the expoimaging Rogue Safari work with an older Nikon D200 DSLR?...Thank you! Ernie Pedersen.
KEVIN A  Don't know . Sorry !
kelly g  has any one tried this booster? I
BRUCE B  Yes I have used it successfully. Keep in mind it meant to be used at longer distances and not for closeups. It's easy to setup and mount. Just raise the internal flash and slip on the hot shoe adaptor. The pieces are plastic so be careful not to force things. In this respect, the mounting is the weakest part.
