About ExpoImaging ExpoDisc

Get accurate color in difficult lighting with the patented ExpoDisc, the fast and easy digital white balance filter. Simply read and set white balance with the ExpoDisc in place before shooting and you'll reduce or eliminate the need for post-capture color adjustments.

Get the white balance solution that is quickly becoming the preferred method of achieving accurate color balance for professional photographers today.

Here is how it works:
Varying levels of colorcast typically occur in digital photography and require compensation as part of the process to create a photograph with good color fidelity.

Until now, photographers have had to rely on gray/white cards to solve this problem. The ExpoDisc is an easy to use custom white balance solution that eliminates the inconvenience and inconsistencies of other methods.

It is a neutral diffusion filter that gathers ambient light and passively transmits 18% of it through to your camera's light meter, effectively producing a "gray frame".

You then set a custom white balance using the "gray frame" that results in accurate color in most lighting conditions. Your camera essentially compensates for and neutralizes the colorcast it sees through the ExpoDisc.

The ExpoImaging ExpoDisc is commonly used for Color correction, Everyday, Home, Macro photography, Portraits, Sporting events, Studio, Travel and more. The ExpoImaging ExpoDisc is most used by customers who consider themselves to be a Casual photographer, Enthusiast, Photo enthusiast, Professional, Pro photographer, Semi-professional, Semi-pro photographer among others. The ExpoImaging ExpoDisc is popular because customers like the following qualities of the ExpoImaging ExpoDisc: Clear optics, Durable, Easy to use, Firm mount, Improves product function, Lightweight and Strong construction

Excelent WB solution

Expodisc does what it is supposed to do: accurate white balance in most lighting situations. It is amazingly easy to use and convinient. I do not like the way it is being attached to the lens. The system is very fast, but Expodisc is not firmly attached and can fall easily. It is an expensive product, but most of the price is paid for the invention.

Helps in Some Situations

This item does not work well in all lighting situations. I bought it to balance color in gyms. It color corrects some, but not all.

The ExpoDisc is perfect and wish I had bought one long ago.

Essential for good white balance

I was happily suprise how easy and precise the white balance calibration could be done with EXPOD52. Can't live without it and going to buy one more. :)

Expo Disc is Very Cool

from Michigan  -  Photo Enthusiast

I saw the expodisc last year and thought it would be neat, but did not purchase it. I just bought it and love it. I should had gotten it sooner. It fits in your pocket, take it out, hold it over the lens and set your custom white balance. It is that fast. I use it for indoors at church and for weddings. I don't think it is needed for outdoors.

Execellent White Balance Tool

from Sellersville  -  Semi-pro Photographer

Great for white balance in the field. Replacement for a white balance card that's awkward to carry. Also great when you don't want to ask the subject to hold a card. For studio work, I use a Porta Brace White Balance Card. The ExpoDisc easily clips into the lens that I use most of the time. Slight disadvantage: it neasures incident not reflected light. The camera has to be pointed at the light source. I'll do some testing to see if there's a big difference between incident and reflected. Good gadget to have in the pack I hike with.

WB doesn't get easier than this. Always right and no big targets to cart around.

Great Product

from Fort Worth, TX  -  Semi-pro Photographer

Such an easy product to use and saves so much time! I highly recommend this product! I bought the larger size so I can use it with all my lenses and it has worked great!

Easy to use

Better than Auto!

from Tallahassee, FL  -  Pro Photographer

Indoors with natural light, I think it really works great! I'm still getting the hang of it outside in natural light conditions. Even though it's the neutral one, my results still seem really warm when used outside. I will there was a neck strap on the disc itself instead of on the case.

I liked this product

It worked fine and easy to use.
