Nikon 10 Pin Adapter

I have the RPS bracket and am somewhat happy with it. The design is nice, but the materials are just barely strong enough in a lot of ways. It seems a little flimsy at times. I bought the adapter to have a release button mounted near the hand holding the main handle and found it to be a bit disappointing as well. The actual 10 pin plug is chore to fit into the camera. I have numerous other 10 pin products, some made by Nikon, some not, and none of them are quite so fiddly to get to insert. Worse, the action of the button is atrocious. I am used to a distinct two position switch; one to allow for autofocusing and such, and the second to actually trigger the exposure. There is almost no first position with this switch. I can barely ever get a full activation of the autofocus before it also triggers the shutter release. This makes for many out of focus exposures and really defeats the whole purpose in many ways. I would buy another wired release and attach it to the bracket with zip ties. Pretty ugly, but much more workable. That is what I had done before deciding to bite the bullet and buy this little beast, but it is almost a total waste of money, in my humble opinion.
