Best deal for the price!

By

I've been shooting bands on stage and this soft bax gives me just the spread of soft light that I need without getting in my way as I climb over musicians and equipment {:-) It also works great with gels when I want to go for the "blue" look on my subject, but still retain the full color background. Good construction quality, easy to mount/dismount. That's why I have two of these now. Also great for a soft fill flash when using my ST-E2 transmitter.

Smaller than I expected BUT...

By

SUMMARY: Does the job adequately and great for the price. Used it for tabletop work. Excellent! POSITIVES: Folds flat, easy to carry. Don't leave home without it. Has Velcro flaps to fold the diffuser out of the way for a silvered reflector. NEGATIVES: The front of one got easily stained on the first day. No cleaning instructions. Will have to figure that out. It may not fit on a large head. I have trouble getting it on my Sigma EF-610 DG Super (but it does go on).

Great to have in my photo bag of tricks

By

Light weight, easy to store, works well with the my speed light canon(s) 580ex and 430 ex ii. I would recommend a variety to soft boxes and bounce accessories, etc to obtain the desired lighting effects your looking for.

Good product to have in your photo bag

By

Is light weight, takes up little space and provides a nice addition to your speed light. I have used this on my Canon 580ex, with manually adjusted flash intensity it gives me the fill lighting in I have been looking for. This is one of many types of soft boxes I have in my kit bag.

Mini soft box spreads the light evenly.

By

I am an event photographer and sometimes waiting for the action to happen with equipment can be tiring. With this Min Soft Box on flash does not add weight, and spreads the light evenly with my 24-70mm lens! I will buy another one.

simple, adequate

By

Whats nice is that it folds flat and won't take up much room in your camera bag. Getting it unfolded into a nice square shape is a little harder to do, but maybe with time it will become a little more flexible. It is a little big looking on my Fujifilm xe1. But it works, and is easy to put on.

Questions about this item:

Dennis O  how do you attach this to the flash unit? I have a Nikon SB-700 - and I must be missing some easy step because I can't get it to form a box and stay on securely.
LISA B  the sides pop out to make a square. then piece with the white matches the sides with velcro to hold in place....then the elastic goes around the flash. you attach this to the top part of the flash (the part that rotates) after you assemble.
Dennis O  Very helpful - thank you Lisa - originally I was being too careful and I wasn't popping this thing out to make a square - from there, it got easier and obvious. Thanks for taking the time to write your helpful reply.
