About Orbis

Save $53.00 when you buy this kit . This Value Bundle comes with a Orbis ENLORB1A Ring Flash Attachment, Use with Strobe and a Orbis Arm ENLARM1A, Aluminum Bracket for Ring Flash and Shipping is free! .

The orbis ring flash uses your existing flash/strobe to create the same beautiful, characteristic ring flash look that has previously only been possible with expensive studio systems. Ring flash has long been recognised as characteristic of high-end portrait and fashion photography.

The preserve of the upper end of the market, studio ring flash systems cast beautiful shadowless light yet are bulky, fragile, unwieldy and costly. Conceived by a full time professional photographer and developed by top optical designers, the orbis ring flash is made from durable ABS plastics, weighs around 500g and is totally portable.

The patent-pending light-tunnel' redirects the light from your flash/strobe transforming it into an incredibly effective ring flash. A patent-pending 'one-size-fits-most' dock means that the orbis works with a huge range of flash/strobes with no need for add-ons.

The orbis enables you to take photographs with shadowless quality ring flash light - without the high costs associated with buying or renting a bulky studio ring flash. All you need is a standard flash/strobe unit and an off-camera cord (or other remote triggering method).

the orbis is handheld so neither impedes your camera system's functionality nor relies on the fragile hotshoe connection. The orbis arm, is a simple kit enabling you to fix your orbis to your camera.

The orbis was designed to give serious photogr aphers an edge; by enabling you to quickly and easily take beautifully lit photographs, and to get the most out of your equipment. TTL functionality, a great price and all in a ring flash built to last.

Very poor engineering

By

from Myrtle Beach, SC  -  Semi-pro Photographer

This is by far the worse product I have ever used in my life. It reminds me of something one would make at home and work around the difficulties of using it. It does not attach to the flash well. Turn the flash upside down and the unit comes off. It does not work with an Nikon SB 600 even with the bracket it comes off the flash. I bought it with the bracket which was backordered. By the time I got the bracket, the return time on the ring had expired so I could not return it. To spend nearly $200 on a product and have to try to figure out a way to make it work is ridiculous. Can not even begin to tell you how it works because first I have to enginere some way to keep it on the camera. If you like to buy junk and tinker with it then by all means this is it.If you want a professional unit that won't fall of the camera and bracket then get something else. Just watch the video how the users have to hold the unit AND the flash to use it because it wont stay on.

Excellent shadowless light on the go

By

from Miami  -  Photo Enthusiast

This is now my favorite lighting accessory. I have alot of equipment and this little thing is simply amazing. Quality of light when shooting with the lens through the ringflash is beautiful.I am shooting with Nikon D90/grip and SB900. You can go with CLS or ttl cord. Best application is portraits. Bracket is good quality and very useful since best light is acheived shooting with the lens through the ringflash. Don't hesitate if you're thinking about it. Bought used in Demo condition and it was like new.

Shopper  Where is the cable that connects from the flash to the camera?
STEVEN P  This is not a flash unit - rather a diverter/diffuser that attaches over the head of a flash unit and redirects the light in a shadowless pattern asa ring flash would do.
