GOOD VALUE

WORKS VERY WELL,FOR SOME REASON DIGITAL CAMERAS DON'T HAVE A PC CONNECTOR EVEN THE D600.SO YOU NEED SOMEWAY OF USING STUDIO LITES AND THE MORE POWERFUL SPEEDLITES. THIS PRODUCT DOES IT WELL.

Perfect for what it is

By

This is a simple little product that does just one thing, but it does it exactly the way it's supposed to. If you want to trigger strobes with a PC cable and your camera body lacks a PC terminal but has a hot shoe, this will solve your problem. The build quality seems perfectly appropriate for a tool intended only for studio or controlled location work.

Works as described

Used it to trigger an external strobe that was located off to the side to eliminate reflections. The PC connector fit well, not too loose.

Just works

The PC conenction fits tighter in this than the camera jack but still not a very snug connection. But this is the nature of PC plug/jack. This was used on a variety of cameras at a group shoot and while it fits tight in all of the hot shoes, it seemed to be tighter on the Nikon's than Canon's, requiring a bit more force than I might otherwise like to use. But it always gave a reliable connection.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
HELMUT K  To connect the camera tomy 400W power-pack.
Shopper  From what I understand, this adapter will not protect a camera from too much trigger voltage. Even Nikon's own version of this device doesn't claim to do that. I think this is an important distinction. Am I mistaken?
B. S   No, this has no such protection. But we've bought these for two years with no problems, even less than Nikon's.
Humberto M  Does anyone know if I can use this adapter and the pop up flash on my Canon 60D at the same time? Want the pop up flash to trigger a Canon speedlite remotely and a PC cable to trigger another strobe at the same time. Thanks!
VARUM K  I do not own a Canon camera to test with this adapter, but I do have the Nikon and a Fuji X100. When the external flash is used, the internal flash will be disabled, check in your camera set up menu.
