ARGH! I lost mine!

from Lake Orion, MI  -  Photo Enthusiast

I left it in a rental car! I can't live without it! OK I'm being dramatic, but... I use it for the azimuth adjustment on my German Equatorial mount - it's that strong. Oh, it works for panoramic photos too. This device is the absolute best for just rotating something - nothing else - no slop - just rotation. I'm trying to decide whether to buy two or three to replace the one I lost. It may go out of production. Seriously for the size and price, this is it.

I would buy this product again

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JOE B  Needed panning with a head that did not have the panning function. Works great.
buddy 3  Will this work with an Oben tripod?
DAVID M  Yes, it will work on any tirpod. you do need to be able to adapt to 1/4-20 if your tirpod only excepts standard camera mounting, and also you need to get back for mounting Camera on the PB-70. I have my ball head mounted on the PB-70 so it maintains the set angle when I am Panning: My setup is like this camera on top of ball head, ball head on top of PB70, PB-70 ontop of tripod, tripod Level on ground.
Shopper  Does the knob actually rotate the assembly or is it only a set/locking screw?
DAVID M  sorry it Took so long To answer, computer trouble. the knob is a locking knob only, but I am quite happy with the unit. i use it every day, I do a lot of pans and it is a great addition to my equipment
