Fujicolor Superia 200 Color Film

I've used and loved Fujicolor Superia films for many years, and I would recommend them without reservation if only they were still available! Unfortunately, it appears that Fuji has stopped production of this film (at least in the speed and size I use, ISO 200/36-exp), so this review is, essentially, pointless.

Use it for general outdoor photography only. Fuji has lessened quality.

Cheap does not mean bad!

By

from Venice, CA  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I'm giving it a 5 for the price/quality ratio. Really, Fuji does not make a bad film. If you've got problems with this one, it's not because of the film. Grain is fine colour saturation is great w/o blowing any out, highlight recovery is excellent. If you get bad results it's because: 1/ It was messed by the kid working at your 1 hour quickie lab 2/ You missed the exposure. Example attached shot with this film.

A Solid, Inexpensive Film.

For the price, you can't beat it. Honest colors like Portra, but at a much lower price. A bit more grain than Portra 160, but I don't mind. I will shoot a ton of this!

Fantastic print film!

By

from Hayward, CA  -  Pro Photographer

This film was my go-to print film for years. It's got tighter grain than any ISO 400 print film and is very similar to ISO 100 films.

Great all around film

By

from Honolulu  -  Photo Enthusiast

With great light sensitivity and color retention, Fuji Superia 200 is my go to all around color film. It is great in so many of my cameras from professional to toy camera. I wish that they made this for 120 too. I like the 36 exp for that extra 12 pictures on the go.

I really love this film as the ISO is great for all my needs, I do a lot of out door nature images and the lighting is perfect with this film. the colors are just awesome also, very accurate and very real looking.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Johnny M  Versitile, inexpensive film that keeps longer than more expensive professional grade films. Nice to buy in bulk and keep on hand!
otto r  is this the fuji superia 200 emulsion with fourth layer?
NORMAN S  Otto, The last I heard the Fuji Superia is gone, I have used (Fujicolor Superia Reala). That is how it reads on the box now. I always used ISO 100 speed. Film is a dying thing and will never return. 100 speed film is hard to find now.
