This is a good general use fast film. I've had great success with this film. Beautiful enlargements to 16", it gets too grainy for anything larger. Certainly good for action and I've found it surprisingly good for fast high-key work. Stays sharp for dark, low-key, with little fall off or softening. Fuji continues to deliver value. I use this film often.

I love the colors in this film for portrait photography or anything for that matter, Skin tones are amazing, colors are real to life and there is very minimal grain even for 35mm. I like to overexpose my 400h by one stop and just love it so much. Film is still king!
Finally processed this roll. Excellent color rendition, Used at the Balloon Festival in Albaquerque Did very well in low light also.
I use for outdoor photography. True & saturated color; good skin tones. The sealing tape at the end of the roll is very easy to use (better than Kodak).
Gave me exactly what I was looking for, which is a solid exposure for me to play with in post. Truthfully, even before the days of digital editing, I still played a lot with my film in the darkroom, so I don't buy film for much more than ISO, color temperature, & color choice. cheers, d. -- www.NYCeveryday.com
Seems like it's a lot more saturated and less grainy than Superia X-tra 400. If you are missing Portra 400VC, then give this a try.
Superb high speed color negative film - ideal for hand-held medium format shooting.
1st time using this flim, will be film of choice from now on, great & consistent color.
I have been a pro. photographer for more years than most of the readers have been around so I guess that makes me a expert(??).For many years I used a well known American brand but swiched to fujifilm when the American brand became less than desireable for my use. Fujifilm, in my opinion is the best.
I use it for photo class at school and my teacher (who taught at both UCLA and Otis) specifically told us to use this film saying its good with being versatile in different settings and produces great color photos. So far, so good. No complaints at all.
Looking for more color I have moved to Kodak and happier
