Really good fast film
I bought this film for use in low light conditions. I've been pleased. Grain is manageable and the colors, contrast, etc. are very good for such a fast film.

Fuji Pro 800z is PRO all the way
Outdoor and concert photography; lots of kids pics- love this film.

PRO 800Z Is all pro
Great product, the successor of the NPZ 800. It's reliable, works in all kinds of lighting, and won't let you down. Worth the extra $ to give you photo confidence.

Good color and grain but pricy
I've used this to photograph various indoor events with mixed/stage lighting (election rallies, VIP speeches/presentations, etc.) and compared it to digital results from my colleagues. It performs exceptionally well in my mind, both compared to digital and 400 speed films in a similar quality category. The grain is exceptionally well controlled (as good as many 400 speed films), and colors, while they are not perhaps rigorously accurate, are very aesthetically pleasing at least to my eye, even in odd lighting situations. It is superior to Press/Superia 800 in terms of grain and color, though the differences are subtle - both films scan well. I have compared this to the previous generation of Kodak Portra 800 (not the current rendition) and found that the Portra produced odd colors under mixed lighting that the Fuji was able to suitably handle, and also the Kodak had colorful, distracting grain structure.

Fuji Pro really is for pros
No wonder they changed the NPZ name to PRO - it really is! Great for action and concert (low light) photography; good speed and equally beneficial for everyday home shots. I love this film and buy it 20 rolls at a time. Don't hesitate - it lives up to its name.

Nicely difused light, compact.
Very nicely difused light shot through or bounced. Use this on group shots or portrait indoor to get near perfect light with very soft shadow. I'm ordering another one for backup as well as for Really Large wedding group shots.
