excellent for the price

excellent for the price (I mostly own tripods 3-4x the price)..the only drawback I see is the lightweight (good for transport, but not when there's a 200mm lens to cause counterpressure) doesn't quickly dampen any movement...but there is a small hook on it...and I am going to try to hang a brick on it to absorb any vibratory motion.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is this tripod made of aluminum?
JOHN G  Yes, I believe that it is made of aluminum. It's very sturdy and has some weight to it.
charity b  Is this tripod capable of holding 12 pounds (camera body & lens)?
DIMITRI G D  I dont know. I use it with a Canon 7D and a variety of lenses, and it holds up fine, but the total weight is less than 12 lbs. You should be aware, however, that the head is flimsy and does not keep the camera locked in place.
Shopper  I tired to adjust the tension on the legs so it would open a little easier and. apparently, overdid it. One leg is now very loose and trying to tighten the nut/ bolt (whatever) isn't working. Any help?.
LESLIE R  Sorry - I don't have an answer. I'm not crazy about this tripod at all for my DSLR.
