About Flashpoint F-1127

• Adorama has studied for many years the needs and wants of the beginner, advanced and professional photographer. All the equipment that bears the Flashpoint name meets these essential qualifications, equipment that is dependable at a fair price.
• The Flashpoint Carbon Fiber Tripods are yet another fine example that follows in the Flashpoint tradition; high quality tripods that can go the distance. Made to Adorama's specifications, you'll feel the quality the first time you set it up. Leg locks that work! They open and close with ease. Pride of ownership is only a small reason to have one of these fine tripods in your equipment bag.
• Featuring classic European Styling, these Flashpoint tripods have all the features of other carbon fiber tripods, except the high price. Besides its legendary light weight, carbon fiber does not transfer heat like aluminum, but does absorb vibrations. This feature helps to insure sharper images.
• All Flashpoint tripod legs have rubber double-grip twist locks. The center column can be separated into a low column for ground level use. The supplied wrench can adjust the leg friction to match the photographers needs. Leg tips can be set with either a rubber pad or ground spike for rugged terrain.

Flashpoint tripod was disappointing

from WIsconsin  -  Photography Student

The tripod did not hold my camera securely. Got stuck in the upright position. Piece broke off. I did return for a replacement and hope that I can post a different reponse when I get it.

Good Tripod at a reasonable price

from Ozarks, MO  -  Photo Enthusiast

I use it for my Nikon D7000 both indoors and outdoors when I have need for a tripod. Its lightweight and easy to carry. Its also stable and does what I need a tripod to do.

Great tripod

from Ohio  -  Semi-pro Photographer

Great tripod to travel. I wanted a light weight tripod to be able to carry around. This fits perfectly. I can adjust it quickly. It's sturdy. Just what I wanted.

Not happy......

from Nashville, TN  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I have had this tripod for about 8 months and it is falling apart. The issue is the cheap plastic collars inside the adjustment knobs are breaking and when the legs are slide outward they completely slid out of the larger leg they are inside of. Two of this have broken and I am dumping this product.

strong and sturdy

from bark river,mi  -  Photo Enthusiast

found it very usesful at night time photography and for shooting wildlife a very sturdy tripod

Lightweight Travelers Tripod

from Stuart Fl.  -  Photo Enthusiast

This is a very stable platform for video and DSLR use. My equipment is a Nikon D90 with a Tamron 18-270 Zoom and a Canon HV20 video cam. It's reasonably light and folds out quickly.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Bob R  Does this tripod have the centerpost that can be separated for very low level shots, like the F-2127? What is the the max height with centerpost retracted all the way?
JOHN F  The centerpost can be inverted by unscrewing the stopper at the bottom of the centerpost, removing the centerpost, reinserting it from the bottom and replacing the stopper. The minimum head height, centerpost extended, will be about 6.5in (16.5cm), retracted, legs in, about 15in (38.2cm). Remember, in the latter configuration, there may be clearance issues due the the angle of the legs. With the centerpost NOT inverted, the head can be lowered to about 15in (38.2cm), with 2 legs splayed to maximum, centerpost retracted head height will be 18.625in (47.2cm). Splaying 2 legs may require a counterweight (sandbag) to assure stability of the system. Maximum height, legs extended, centerpost retracted is about 53.25in (135cm). These measurements were taken on a soft(carpeted)level surface. Bob, I hope this answered your question.
