It's a pretty nice machine! It's a little large for home use, I expected there to be a size difference between the 30 and the 60, but this was not a correct assumption, looking back. I'm using it to bind 81lb card stock and other paper that isn't traditional printer paper and it takes some finagling. You actually might need to use a larger thermal binding strip to catch everything, or the whole thing falls apart - though the machine works perfectly, I really think my issues were down to the binding strips. I like it and plan to use it pretty often! The machine doesn't punch as far as I know, which is why I gave that a medium rating. It does get pretty hot - I wouldn't leave it running for more than just operating it and then putting it away.

I have used and owned various binders, this is far better in speed and no nonsense, get your pages,follow the guide, insert in machine and wait for it to finish and it’s done—— not only that but multiple folders can be heat bound at the same time. Brilliant concept, well engineered and also follows the Fellowes laminator I purchased, they look good together. Highly recommended system And a good range of binding cover.

On a whim I decided to research how to bind my own materials instead of using a company in hopes of finding a cheaper option. I was a little nervous but after some research decided--why not give it a try? I cannot believe how easy it is! Why didn't I do this sooner?? I read a couple of reviews about how it's hard to get the timing right at first, etc. but I really just unboxed it, read the instructions and followed them exactly and it worked like a charm. I'm now looking for things to bind. :)

I just received this machine today, and I already love it. I have used it a few times already, it works great! I have bound both small books and larger ones (more pages), It works perfect.

Thermal Binding is the most professional presentation yet. We have binding machines with the combs; the binding with the slip on spine; duo-tangs, you name it, we've tried it and there is no better product out there for a impressive presentation. With a variety of sizes available to accommodate any size presentation this is the best system yet. Much faster than the punch binding machines and so much easier to use. Fantastic Product! The ideal was good and I was excited to purchase this product because I wanted to use it to put together my genealogy documents but I was really disappointed with this product and didn't do what it was suppose to do. I purchased the Thermal Presentation Covers as well and followed the instructions and it didn't work the pages did not stick together it looked nothing like the product review I seen in the video clip. I sent it back for a full refund but I'm stuck with the Thermal Covers since I used two trying to get the product to do what it was suppose to do. I would buy another machine like this in the future but only after all the problems have been sorted out and there is proof that it does what it says it does. Plus I found the Presentation Covers to be a little on the pricey side.

I have been a library media specialist for 26 years. I have always had problems trying to repair books successfully and have literally used every type of glue on the market. The Helios 30 Thermal Binder glues the books back together and they look like brand new! I am so impressed and happy with the results!
