I am thrilled by how easy this product was to unpack, assemble and set up. The directions on the front were clear. It is also stunningly quiet.

It's been about 10 years since I've bought an air purifier and I'm very pleased with the compact and quiet design of my new PlasmaTrue air purifier. It performs great, I suffer from allergies and asthma so clean air is important to me, the difference was immediately noticeable after the easy installation. Thank you Fellowes.

The motor is very quiet on all the settings, but, there is a high pitch whine on the low and medium settings so I'm not using the auto feature. I have it set on high all the time. This is fine since the fan is very quiet but I do lose the auto feature.

I have two small, basic HEPA filter air purifiers that seem to clean the air quite well. Were are currently experiencing dust storms due to a drought. Even though our house is well sealed, small amounts of dust penetrate around the doors and windows. I do not like the smell of dust or the idea of having extra pollutants in my house. Two of the basic air purifiers are being used in the upper floor. The Fellowes AP-230PH is used in the family room in the basement. I like the extra air purification beyond just the basic HEPA filter provided by the addition of a carbon filter, the sanitation feature and the PlasmaTRUE technology. The digital displays of room air quality are another nice feature. I also like the ease of changing the filters and the easy reset feature of the "change filter light". Of all the air filters in the house I have a higher level of confidence in the Fellowes AP-230PH because of the extra features, and it is the quietest one I have owned.

This was a Christmas present for my wife, who has a fairly severe dust allergy. A complicating factor is that she works 'graveyard shift', so sleeping soundly through the day is critical. When I first set up the unit, I had to double check to make sure it was actually running - kudos to your engineers for designing such a quiet device. I have never had any kind of appliance that was this quiet. We both had an undisturbed sleep today, and woke without stuffed up sinuses. I only wish that I had purchased this sooner. We are both looking forward to better days ahead. Thank you!

Use the purifier in bedroom at night and move to den during the day. Cannot hear it running...too soon to tell if it is clearing the dust and pollen, which was one of the major reasons I purchased.

No one needs an air purifier more than I - for two reasons. First, in my opinion, I live in the allergy capital of the U.S. - central Texas. Allergens are in the air year round. Add to that, we are in a severe drought and the air is really bad. Secondly, I have two long-haired Australian Shepherds who sleep in my bedroom. As they are free to go in and out, they, too, pick up dust and allergens. I had a much cheaper air purifier which did a halfway job. What I didn't like about it is exactly what I like about the Fellowes. It did cut back on the allergens, but still I would wake with a sinus headache. It did next to nothing about odors. And lastly, it was noisy. The first thing that struck me about the Fellowes is the compact and attractive machine that it is. I am able to place it on a table out of the way. I turned it on and was shocked at how quietly and smoothly it runs. It is super sensitive as indicated by the air quality indicator. My bathroom is off of my bedroom and hair spray, body wash, cleaning materials, etc. are picked up by the machine which is sitting a corner away from the bathroom door. It doesn't miss a thing. And, I suppose, the most important thing is that it does exactly what I want it to do. My bedroom air is free of allergens and smells fresh all the time, quietly done. What more could I ask for?

It works great! I was in the midst of my worst allergy season in years and within hours of setting these up everything cleared up. It was simple to set up. Though be sure that when you try to take the front panel off to remove the packaging from the filters and install them that you aren't trying to pull on the silver insert that is part of the front panel. The filters are easy to install, and then just plug in and push the on button. The automatic setting works wonderfully. It detects when a higher-level fan is necessary and backs back down as needed. The low setting, at which it mainly runs, is whisper quiet. Even high is quiet. I've got one beside my bed and never hear it during the night. I'm also happy that maintenance is so easy. The sensors will tell me when one of the filters needs replacing. Once a month, I vacuum the front sensor (remove that front panel again) and I keep it wiped down, but there is no pesky, fiddly bits to try to keep clean. I'm loving the fresh air in my house. Now if I could only do something about the outside air. . .

Its been about 4 weeks that I placed my 230PH Air Purifier in my Master Bedroom (300 sqft). I bought this because of my alergies, pet dander and to see if it would cut down on the dust. First, this unit is simple to set up and operate and I keep it on the auto function and have not had to touch it since I placed on the floor. So far, my alergies seem to have decreased. Less coughing and sneezing. The bedroom definitely has less dust and pet dander and my 3 dogs sleep in the room every night and sometimes during the day. I experienced a water leak in my roof and ever since I had it fixed, I just felt like there was still issues with mold that may have remained hidden behind the new ceiling and walls. I feel better and clean less. This unit is so strong that from 150ft away, it kicks in within seconds when it picks up my cologne I spray on in a closet. It picks up the slight change in air quality and fixes any bad smell within minutes. The auto function is definitely a great function. Its quiet and it hides and blends well into any room. I purchased the larger unit also for my TV/Family Room and it does just as good of a job. Definitely recommend this system if you want quality and durability. Look around on prices because I got a better deal going on ebay and ordering from an Office Supply Store.

Great air purifier. Works well. looks great. haven't had any issues with it except, you are unable to turn off the plasmaTrue technology. Mine kind of making a small sound, but small enough that it's ignorable..
