I got the shredder at Christmas time, only a few months ago. The door doesn't close right. The only way I can get it to shred is if I push the shredder up against the wall to get traction to keep the door pushed in. Then when it gets full, you can't pull the drawer out to get the shredding out. I actually have to hold the body of the shredder with my legs while pulling the drawer. This product is so awful that I am going out to buy another shredder tomorrow and it won't be a Fellowes, that's for sure.

I would like to correct the negative comments that I made about the Fellowes Shredder that I purchased from Office Depot. The problem was that I spoke to a Rep. who obviously had no interest in the good name of the company. the greatest thing that i did was to write my comment because the people who really cares about the company wrote me back after reading the comment and were the nicest Supervisor that you could ever speak to. The company has apologized for my experience over and over and have made arrangements to send me a brand new shredder, plus and upgrade from what I originally had. I am so grateful that we still have a great company like Fellowes, who really do stand by their products.

I purchased this shredder about 2 years ago and it has been used daily since then. It shreds anything I put thru it quickly and completely. I have no worries that anything I put thru it will ever be read. I have used other brands before this one and they all broke or didn’t shred as completely as this shredder does. The only minor problem I has was the sensor to stop the shredder after shredding got a bit dirty and would not shut the shredder off, but after taking a q-tip and cleaning it off it works fine. I would recommend this type for anyone that has a home office or worries about security.

I ordered the Fellowes Shredder from Costco on-line. It was shipped correctly, was easy to just switch on and there was no hassle setting it up. I love my little shredderette…..

This shredder was alright until it jammed one day. The paper got stuck and I had to put the gears in reverse and forward, for several hours, to get the paper completely shredded. Now the gears seem to be misaligned and I don't know how to fix it. It's too much trouble to fix it or get the replacement parts, and I doubt oiling it will help in this case. Lesson learned: Don't put brochures into the shredder the short way, because if they get stuck, you can't reverse it and pull the papers out.

Shredder worked fine until large plastic piece broke and fell into the bin. Plastic piece looks like it is used to clear the cutter blades. Not sure if it can be fixed. If not, it wasn't worth the money considering how little it is used.

Mine just died on me. Not sure why. I rarely use my shredder. I am about to start working from home and was cleaning up and it just died. Lights turn on but when I put paper in I hear a slight motor tick and nothing happens at all.

The problem is I did not use it right away. After about five times, jammed. Could not remove the paper. No easy way to pull out jammed paper.
