Have one at the office. Just received this as a gift. Easy to assemble and use. been running almost nonstop for three minutes and no over heating. Highly recommend!!!

bought it from Amazon on 28/11/2016. Has worked well for 8 months but now after being emptied it simply just wont switch on again, I have changed the fuse etc and still wont turn on and show the green "ON" light. Very dissapointed

However, machine failed just after the 2-year warranty, and this is the 3rd one we've had that hasn't lasted that long. But I have bought again as it suits our small business very well and does the job. If I have the same trouble again I will probably go elsewhere.

Purchased this shredder to replace the p48c I had that the switch broke. I had the previous shredder aapprox. 5 years and it was an excellent machine. Looking forward to many years with the new one. Would definitely recommend this shredder to anyone looking for a home shredder medium useage.

only just bought the machine so I don't know about longevity but it seems a great piece of kit. Very heavy duty and easy to use also much quieter than the machine it's replacing from a rival manufacturer (which only just lasted until outside the warranty).

This was purchased to replace our existing one exactly the same which has been in the business for around 10 years. Unfortunately last week it started to show that it was coming to the end of its life cycle, which is pretty good for 10 years! Unfortunately we have had the replacement in and upon first use the automatic lock which is in place when the lid is off seems to be faulty. It seems to be enforcing this lock when trying to shred with the lid properly down. We are having to move it around in order for it to stay on during shredding. I would imagine this is a manufacturers error and have not returned due to the bulkiness of the item. We will see how this goes over the course of the day but may need to return for another replacement.

When it jams there is no good way to clear it. There is too much space between the top and the blades that the cut paper can get jammed in there. Too many sheets meant an hour of trying to clear it. This included turning it over, engaging a safety switch to try and get paper to push out the jam. Need way to better clear jams.

Very happy with my new shredder. The size is great, no more repeated emptying of the basket due to bigger size of catch basket. Quiet when shredding and shredds multiple sheets with ease.

I hate this shredder if you need to shred any large amount at a time it will stop because it has a sensor that it is to warm. Takes forever to do any large amount of shredding. It only will handle 2 sheets before it starts to bog down.

In the past I have always bought Fellowes shredders. However they tend to give up the ghost after about a year. The difference with this one is that on the advice of a Fellowes employee I ordered some Performance oil and every time I empty the bin I use the oil. I have had this machine for 15 months now and touch wood it is still going strong.

I purchased this shredder for the office when our last one quit working. I chose another Fellowes brand because the last one performed so well for so long. The only recommendation I would make is to keep the paper to be shredded in the middle; don't let it drift to the outside edge. For $99, this one is a dynamo so far! As far as sheet capacity - it does what it says: 7 pages. I honestly won't try to shred CD's or credit cards, just because the sheet capacity is so low.

I just purchased this item, so I can't comment on the long run. It is fast. My only gripe is with the noise level. My first shredder was quieter but by no means quiet. If anyone knows of a way to reduce the noise these things make, I would like to know. Otherwise, so far so good.

I think the product could be improved by having small casters or wheels installed on the bottom so that moving it out from under desks to empty would be easier.

Love all the features. Nothing more than I need like some machines. Especially like that I can shred old credit cards instead of having to cut them up with scissors. Like the lock too as I have grandkids around.

This machine is a good buy. I've had 2 inexpensive shreaders previously and neither performed as stated in their literature. This machine is the exception, it works well and if you empty the basket regularly you don't have jams. I've had one jam in six months and it was easily cleared.

My first shredder and am very pleased with this product. It is attractive , easy to operate and I am very impressed with the safety features provided which are easy to understand and follow. Though the specifications says that a max of 8 sheets can be used to insert and shred , I have been very conservative and use not more than 5 to 6. My first set of 200 odd papers was successfully completed - no jams - no alerts. Amazing. This is a true value for money product for personal use. I am happy :-)

This is my first shredder, which I bought to destroy years of financial records. The machine is fast, efficient, easy to use, and much quieter than I expected. The extra safety switches are also a major benefit, allowing peace of mind. The waste bin is a little small for big jobs, but allows for easy storage in a one-bedroom apartment. The top, which must be removed to empty the bin, is a little heavy, but that is a minor problem easily overcome.

I have two children and I just LOVE the lock mechanism so they cant easily turn it on and get hurt. It does not jam easily as long you do not try to shred more than whats indicated on the owner's manual and does not hot within minutes of use like other brands

Your directions need to specify 4 - 6 sheets to avoid jamming. I put in more and had to use a knife to get it released. Now it is not sensitive to grabbing the paper I feed into it.

I previously owned a 15 year ood Fellow shredder. It was good so I bought another one when the old one started making a noise and not shredding completely. I have used the new one for a few weeks and I am totally satisfied. It shreds even better than the old one and does credit cards great. I am looking forward to many years using it.
