About Gefen 1 x 8 DVI Distribution Amplifier
The Gefen EXT-DVI-148 1x8 DVI Distribution Amplifier is a distribution amplifier that features (1) input and (8) outputs. It can be connected to any computer or video equipment with a DVI (digital visual interface) connector. This unit is well suited for home theater applications or other similar uses that require the distribution of one video feed to multiple monitors.
The amplifier is HDCP-compliant, meaning that it includes a mechanism to ensure that video embedded with high-bandwidth digital content protection will be decoded and properly displayed. Amplifiers without this feature often display HDCP content as "snow" or will reduce the resolution of the output. Rack ears are included to facilitate placement of the unit in your rack.
