About Griffin Technology StudioConnect with 30-Pin Connector Audio & MIDI for iPad

The Griffin Technology StudioConnect allows you to record audio and MIDI data to any Core Audio compatible app on your iPad, iPad 2, or iPad 3. It features a 1/4" mono instrument input for connecting a guitar, bass, or any other instrument level device. A stereo 1/8" connector rounds out the audio input capabilities on the StudioConnect.

The unit also acts as a MIDI interface thanks to its 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output connectors. You can monitor your audio playback from either the stereo RCA outputs or the front-panel 1/8" stereo headphone jack. The StudioConnect has a 30-pin iOS cable for connecting to your iPad and acts as a 10-watt charging dock while in use.
