About Goal Zero

The Goal Zero NiMH Rechargeable AAA Batteries (4 Pack) are designed for use with the Guide 10 Plus charger and form the basis of a very mobile power source for small appliances. The Goal Zero batteries are rechargeable up to 500 times before needing replacement. They will reach full charge in as little as 2.5 hours via a Goal Zero solar panel or a USB power source. These batteries have a low self-discharge rate so they can sit unused for 12 months before they start to lose effectiveness. Unlike alkaline batteries Ni-MH batteries will maintain almost full power throughout their usage cycle. This pack includes an adapter needed in order to use AAA batteries in the Guide 10 Plus charger.

Very High Capacity

I tested these on a MAHA MH-C9000 charger/analyzer and their capacity is better than advertised. In a moderate drain application such as a headlamp or flashlight on medium setting, their measured capacity was around 880 mah. This is 10% greater than advertised and all 4 batteries had measured capacities within 2% of each other.

I just wanted the AAA insert.

I bought the Nomad 3.5 from REI. The sales man told me it will charge AAA battery's. Got it home and it didn't. So I go back to REI and another sales man told me you can get a free insert online. Well I had to buy 4 AAA battery's to get the insert. and If the sales man would have told me about the model that charged in 3 hours instead of 6 or 8 I would have bought that one. Other than that I like the product and haven't had any problems with it.

Works great with Guide 10

I use AAAs to power a headlamp. They charge quickly with the Guide 10 Plus. Costly, but better than using lots of single-use Duracells.

they recharge ! lol

By

from orlando florida  -  Enthusiast

They made them 1.2 volts. I wish they would of made 1.5 volts. Other then that we have to wait and see if they outlast the other 3 brands of triple a batteries I use on a daily bases. The price is higher then energizer and other rechargeable brands. I'm not a fan of that when I can't pick them up in a store around the corner. They should lower the price to encourage the support of the product. Sorry goal zero. Probably my last pack I'll buy for you till then.

These were purchased for my daughter's year-long trip to Tanzania. We used them at home to test and it worked to expectations. I await more info from her now that she is at her destination.

Love my rechargeable batteries

By

from Buena park, ca  -  Enthusiast

I use the batteries for my wireless keyboard and track bar, they last a reasonable time in device which i just trade out with charged ones and reuse charge the ones replaced. Very easy and small enough to take with you. Saving the planet in small ways!

I use this product for on the go recharging of my smart phone and personal entertainment devices. What impressed me the most was the ease of use and quickness of recharging. So far I have not found any downsides to its use.
