Goal Zero Light-a-Life 3W-LED Light with Shade

I had purchased a Yeti 400 for camping and running my CPAP machine. As an afterthought, I also purchased a Light-a-Life lantern. All I can say is that a Light-a-Life is a MUST accessory!!!! I was so impressed, I purchased three more and daily-chain these things while at camp. Extremely bright.

Have used 2 of these while camping on numerous occasions. Provided ample light for camp activities. No need for gas lantern.

I have been using 6 of these lamps powered from a solar fed dual 6VDC supply on a DC Timer for evenings under my patio. The LED brightness is great, a lot more than expected.

Holy cow, these little lights only draw 3W of power and they are able to put out that much light!? I can't recommend these enough for portable illumination. To make my experience even better, I received two free during a promotion with my Yeti 400 so I have four for the price of two. I had every person in my ten-man group asking where they could go to get them a few of these lights. Very nice indeed!

The Light-a-Life product, in my opinion, is the best value product GZERO makes. It might also be the best value and best designed LED light anywhere, of this category (lamp), period. I am a high end LED flashlight junkie, this is an expensive habit. You get what you pay for. But, in the LED ambient and lamp category I think LED products are pretty much junk and the light temperature is very annoying and not relaxing, until now. I don't know how GZERO made the Light-a-Life almost so perfect, and only for $39, but they did. I give it 8 stars out of 5. I would give it 10 stars out of 5 if they made a plug-in adapter to dim the light when all that 270 lumens aren't needed.

I use on even at home hooked up to my Yeti 400 to use as a nigh light then when I go to bed turn it off. I keep the Yeti 400 plugged in and only run it down about every 3 months to 60 % or maybe 65% and it has performed flawlessly. The light is great I have two for emergencies one down stairs and one upstairs and to battery lanterns which are no where near as good. I probably will add more of these lights.

These lights are lifesavers. When darkness comes it is soothing to know that you'll have light to raise moral and allow a sense of normalcy when the power is out. At only a 3 watt power draw one can run multiple lights for extended periods of time without having to recharge your battery pack...run 4 LALs with a 400 watt power pack for 34 hours before recharging the battery pack. The light output is phenomenal at 270 lumens. I string up 4 lights through the house using Coleman lantern stands and light up the whole house....so grab some of these great lights and light up your life!

I have 4 Light -a- life's now and they are incredible little lights. I use them much more than just camping. They are useful around the house and in the garage. I plug them into my Extreme 350 for light anywhere or directly into my cigarette lighter when working on the car at night. They put out much more light than expected from their size and they are not blinding. One accessory my buddy bought was a Coleman lantern hanger and they work great stringing these lights together.

I have four of these gems. I power them with your escape 150. They make camping so nice. We daisy chain them together. This allows us to lighten our camping spot in several different ways. They each have a separate switch on them. That way we can use only what/where we need them saving our battery power with out having to carry them around. We have had several neighboring campers comment on them. How bright they are, but not obnoxious bright (soft white) I charge my escape back up with the 30 watt panel the following morning. Its also a great light to keep in your trunk/glove box.. It comes with a cigarette lighter attachment, and can double as a nice light to do repairs on your vehicle.

I now have 4 of these. I use them with my Yeti150s to light up my tent and the kitchen when I go camping. When used with the Yeti 150s you can chain a bunch together and they drain almost none of the Yeti's battery. I have gone 3 days without needing to charge up the Yeti.

I bought these lights for my summer cabin last summer. We had used propane lights in the past and did not use the propane lights at all last year. The Light-a-life lights are great, easy and money savers.

Lasts the advertised 50hrs with the escape 150, I have 2 connected when camping and lights up perfectly, not too bright.

I bought two Light-a-Life's and it was such a great decision! They tie together, and are really bright (much brighter than I thought they'd be) and useful, not only camping, but also in my apartment (especially if the power goes out). I power them with my Sherpa 50, which they last pretty long with.

I've used the lights camping many times and it's been so nice to have. One time, someone knocked the light off of its perch and it crashed on the ground. There were several parts that broke apart and I though that the light was broken. However, when I looked at the construction of the light, it was easy for me to put back together and everything clicked back into place. The light worked! I've been impressed with the lights and their ruggedness as well as the nice light that they put off around the camp.

i really like the fact that the light only uses 3 watts of electricity. it produces good lighting. i plan to purchase additional units for outside lighting.

I bought this for camping. I have a Coleman lantern that is a great light but is too bright at times. This light has a good mix of providing light for the campsite yet not distract from the campfire ambiance. The battery I used was an Escape 150. The battery provided plenty of power. 3 nights of 5 hours each plus recharging 4 phones and 20 minutes of laptop use before I had to recharge the Escape 150. My only complaint with the light is that it needs an external power source.

I enjoyed using the Light-A-Life and fan at an outdoor event. Plenty of soft light that helped me when the sun went down. The fan also kept me more comfortable in the heat with some air flow.

This product is amazing! We went camping and we only had 2 lights. They lasted all night long and lighted the camsite very well. Very easy to connect lights. I recommend it to everyone. We bought two more!

These lights are great, I use them while camping,(so much better and eaiser than camp lanterns)I've used them in the back yard for parties, tailgatting, and power outages at home. I can't think of a reason not to have them, unless you like the dark. I can light up the majority of the living space in my house with three lights strung together, camping I can light up the tent, cooking and eating area with ease. They provide enough light to do what you need without lighting the entire camp site. Need more light just string more together. I recommend them to all my friends, even just to use when the power goes out if that is all the use you get from them you can't go wrong.

I've used this light camping a few times and I love it. We plug it into our Extreme 350 and it is a perfect tent light. We just hand from a loop at the top and it fills the whole tent with light. I also love that you can daisy chain them together, although I have yet to buy a second one. My only problem is cord management, but we just use a couple of twist ties to get the cord out of the way.

This light illuminates a large area. It throws a nice even light without dark spots. The Light-a-Life is very durable and well made. For backpacking, the Estrella is more compact, but I like the Light-a-Life for home use or vehicle camping.

At home in the computer room I have put lights on hangers each end of the room. It provides well enough lighting to watch movies or do shopping online. I use them all the time. There great!

I used the light-a-lifes(2)in conjunction with an Escape 150 for a week while hunting in the winter and they worked great! The ability to string them together made setup very easy and 2 were sufficient to provide enough light for a 10'x 10' tent for reading and looking at maps. The movable hooks make them easy to find good mounting points.

I have three of these lights and use them both for camping and for Emergency use. I am an emergency amateur radio operator with several groups and these work really well to light the tables where we set-up our radios. Being LED, they draw very little power, which is important as we need to reserve our portable power to run our radios.

we have a cabin in the lassen national forest with no power. we do have propane but these solar lights are a perfect substitute and will hopefully pay for themselves in a few years.
