Handle thread failed after a few months
I liked this head, but the threads of one of the handles failed after only a few months. I've always been very wary of threads, so am careful to not over-tighten any of my tools. These threads are a potential point of failure in that they are used to lock the head into position and should often be removed for transport (in luggage, for instance).

Good mid sized alternative
Bought this for nephew, who was shooting video. Had an old gitzo traveler, needed quality head that wasn't too large and cumbersome. Great mid-size compromise. Movement seems firm and fluid. Construction was solid metal. I haven't used it once I checked it out before giving it to him, so I can't speak to its long term performance. But initial impression was excellent build quality, not a piece of plastic junk. A good inexpensive alternative to buying a more costly head (e.g. Manfrotto or better).
