Backpackers delight

This diminutive tripod is quite sturdy and extremely handy to have along when backpacking. It will not support a long telephoto lens, but how many backpackers haul one of those anyway? Great for a DSLR and wide angle to normal lens. Even better for ILC gear.

Very good Tripod for it's size

I currently own 3 of these, probably going to get one more. This is reasonably priced for what it does, but what it does it does well! I have the MH 1304 ball heads (getting 1 more) on two of these for my 430ex flash and I have also mounted a MH 1302-210C ball head on the third one with my 7D and 70-200mm F/2.8 lens on that and it's working great. I have mounted a 1D MK III and non-IS 300mm F/2.8 lens on it and it holds it pretty good, but I wouldn't use this tripod for that unless you really have to. Very compact when you fold this up and it can get very, very low without moving around all that much. IM considering getting the foot spikes for these tripods because I would consider them to be used for some great macro photography uses. These are an excellent small tripod to have when you need something to throw into your travel case for vacation and also sturdy enough for the pro photographer to use when he needs something smaller to support some of his mid sized cameras and lenses.

The MT Series Tripods have a unique style and are highly versatile. MT professional classic tripod series are made from classic basalt by a precision manufacturing process, elaborately assembled by hand to assure maximum stability and maximum security.

The center column can be reversed to position the camera upside down. It includes Non-slip foam rubber sleeves, Non-slip shoulder strap, carrying bag, and bubble level and compass. All MT Series Tripods have quick releases for individual leg spread at different angles.

  • Safety lock of center column: Center column can not be taken out or in while the concave point of center column and its bottom wheel ring are set different points to prevent accidental pull out of the column.
  • Pull out the center column: Center column can be taken out or put in only while the concave point of centre column and its bottom wheel ring is at the same point, but not when set at other points.
  • 3 positions & dual camera screws: Pull the quick release lock to change leg spread angles allows setting each leg at different positions. With dual camera screws for 1/4" and 3/8" threads.
