Description
Gitzo introduces for the first time in the monopod range the basalt tube with a new fully featured monopod. Basalt tubes are made of the same technology of carbon 6X tubes and offer intermediate performance levels between carbon fiber and aluminium. Yet basalt maintains all the benefits of carbon fiber and composite materials in terms of thermal stability, vibration absorption and specific engineered structure for camera support applications. Like the carbon 6X monopod range, basalt monopod offers ALR and G-Lock systems.

Features
Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR). This monopod is incredibly fast to operate, and the height can be easily and precisely adjusted.
G-Lock: The Gitzo leg locking system has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. G-Lock's special design also provides a "gravity lock" effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.
