Gitzo introduces for the first time in the monopod range the basalt tube with a new fully featured monopod. Basalt tubes are made of the same technology of carbon 6X tubes and offer intermediate performance levels between carbon fiber and aluminum. Yet basalt maintains all the benefits of carbon fiber and composite materials in terms of thermal stability, vibration absorption and specific engineered structure for camera support applications. Like the carbon 6X monopod range, basalt monopod offers ALR and G-Lock systems.
