The Gitzo Ocean Systematic Series 2 Carbon Tripod is designed and built for professional performance, maintenance-free durability and resistance against seawater, humidity and other aggressive natural environments. It features precision-tooled aluminum parts, have a corrosion-resistance finishing, while specially redesigned leg collars on the 6X carbon fiber legs protect each section of tube against sand, dust and mud and expel any water trapped inside tube sections by working as an air cushion.
The GT2542LOS is a modular Systematic tripod, with a flat centre disk that can be interchanged for center columns, leveling bases and other components designed for specific applications. A ratchet lever lock makes interchanging components fast and easy, while a new secondary safety catch protects centre components and attached camera equipment against accidental damage, even if the centre component is inadvertently left unlocked. Adding to the set up speed and convenience - vitally important in extreme conditions and remote locations - is the Ocean G-Lock system, which requires only a quarter turn to lock or unblock each leg section.
