Go Remote!

This remote timer is small, lightweight, and connects via the remote connection on the side of the camera. Two cables are supplied so it works with both types of Canon connections. The delay timer is probably the nicest feature. If you want to be in the picture, you can set the delay, click, and then hide the remote so it won't look like you're gripping it in your hand. It also has a repeat feature so you can do time lapse shots. The receiver can be fit onto the hot shoe, but I have let it dangle and it worked fine. It's not so heavy that it will stress the cable. I have tested it with both a Canon 5d (classic) and a 5d Mark III. Works great with both. I have not tested it to the maximum of its distance, but I know it works to within 50 feet.

Fantastic Concept, Horrible Design

I was very excited to see this product. I purchased it to do extended length exposures at dusk and at night and to be able to do automated shooting when I was not near the camera. This it will. However, the design on this product - specifically the transmitter - is just bad. 1) The transmitter screen is so small and the text on it is so small I have problems reading it with my 50 yr old eyes. 2) The buttons are too small to operate with gloves on. 3) No lock button on the transmitter. If you put the transmitter in your pocket and retrieve it, it is highly likely that you will have bumped the navigation and you are now in a different mode. 4) Transmitter auto off is too quick. Tried to use it in a portrait session and it kept turning itself off in less than a few minutes. 5) 300'? Try 30'. I had problems with a clean line of sight at 40' with the transmitter tripping the camera. 6) Battery in transmitter is not field replaceable (unless you packed a micro-screwdriver). I love the feature set and I will use it for automated and extended shooting. This could have been a fantastic product had they not comprismised on the size of the transmitter.

Pleasantly Surprised

Shooting baby pictures and capturing each expression, alone, would be impossible without a remote. This one has not failed yet. Having a Bulb option is icing on the cake.

Can't trust it!

Works fine when it works. My biggest complaint is the that the transmit unit does not auto-shutoff after a certain amount of time...so if you forget to turn it off the next time you pull it out of your bag the battery is dead. Very bad design. The menu is a little confusing to get all the functions to work, but it's workable when you get used to it.

GREAT GADGET

Great for keeping your hands off the camera for tripod mounts. You could get in the picture also, without having to run.

Great Product

The Giga T Pro--works great. I was able to follow the included instructions and get all functions to work without difficulty. The N3 connector on the supplied cable is a little flaky as the connector doesn't lock like the canon models--fits somewhat loose and can give an intermittent connection. Other than that a great product and I have recommended it to my friends.

A super deal on an wireless remote

Great product--All the functions interval, long exposure, self timer, continuous burst, timed burst are at your finger tips. The instruction sheet is short but accurate and easy to follow. I am very satisfied with this product.
