About Hoodman 8GB UHS-1 SDHC

Hoodman's 8GB RAW STEEL SDHC Memory Card is a stellar storage solution designed to withstand the rigors of high performance photography and videography. While many flash cards can be on the more delicate side, Hoodman has included a few features to ensure that theirs is rigid and tough.

The card is steel-plated with a hard plastic exterior. In addition, it contains miniaturized chip-on board technology, instead of a PC-board like many other flash cards. Because this technology allows for more space inside the card, Hoodman has filled that space with an epoxy, so that the sensitive flash components are completely secure and insulated. In so doing, the epoxy both makes the card extremely rigid and water-proof.

Along with these extra protective measures, you still get the same superb SDHC performance that's synonymous with the Hoodman name. The card features a sustained write speed of up to 60MB/second, well-beyond the SDHC Class 10 minimum. When paired with today's high-end digital cameras or camcorders, this guarantees an extremely fast and consistent capture of photo and video.

Hoodman 8GB UHS-1 SDHC Features

  • Professional Class 10 Performance: Going above and beyond the minimum performance specifications of a Class 10 rating, Hoodman 16GB RAW STEEL SDHC Memory Cards will sustain write times up to 60MB/second
  • Durable and There for You In the Clutch: The exterior is stiff and steel-plated while the interior flash components are coated and water-proofed in an epoxy

Questions about this item:

Dalia E  Hi, I have used this card and have taken a few hundreds photos during a recent trip without apparent problem. A week later, I suddenly could not proceed taking photos and was asked if I wanted to format the card... Is there any way to recover the photos I have taken?? Please help... Thank you, Dalia
DENISE O  I have also had this problem. What I do is try and download the pictures onto the computer. Usually the pictures are still on the card, but the card is having some issues. I have had these porblems with this type of card not just the Raw Steel. These seem to be more fragile. If you have the Nikon D7000, I use the other slot as a back-up for just this reason. Hope that helps.
