Imacon, has now announced the availability of an Ixpress digital camera back fully user-interchangeable adapter kit for the 645 Hasselblad H1 for use with both its Single-shot and Ixpress Multi-shot models.
Imacon believes a single digital camera back should provide a solution that is flexible enough for any challenge a photographer has to deal with.
For this reason they have developed a range of fully user-interchangeable adapters, a worldfirst, for use with the industry's leading medium and large format cameras. The introduction of the adapter kit for the 645 Hasselblad H1 is the latest step in this process.
The adapter kit enables automatic H1/Ixpress integration of all camera settings which includes film speed rating, white balance, and exposure and focus modes, all of which are directly selectable on the H1 camera. The H1 grid LCD displays all camera settings as well as a capture histogram, which combined with the Ixpress acoustic exposure feedback, delivers immediate exposure checking.
As all communication between the camera and the Ixpress takes place using internal contacts, there is no need for external cables. The Hasselblad H1 camera architecture has been optimised to ensure a smooth transition to the mutli-shot functionality of the Ixpress.
The system also provides support for User Button functions such as delete last image and Custom white balance reading and enables camera settings, such as lens zoom factor, aperture, shutter and exposure compensation to be written to the final image files.
The kits enable the Ixpress digital backs to be quickly fitted by the photographer on most medium or large format cameras using Imacon's simple 'four screw assembly'. This is the key point behind all products at Imacon - flexibility - providing technical solutions that enable photographers to focus on the creative side of their profession.
The Ixpress family of digital camera backs is able to shoot a full 16-bit colour 96MB image in single-shot mode and 96 and 384MB images in 4- and 16-shot modes respectively, straight to disc, including preview, every 2 seconds in sequence to more than 1000 images and has a maximum exposure time of 32 seconds. The camera backs incorporate a Kodak 16 million, nine-micron pixel sensor, a compact portable preformatted image bank allowing more than 1000 96MB captured images and Imacon's revolutionary new sensor control Double Duration Circuit (DDC) - to ensure the highest image quality.
The new H1 adapter kit joins similar kits for a full range of large and medium format cameras, as well as auto focus cameras including the Rollei 6008AF, Maymiya 645 ADF and the Contax 645AF, making the Ixpress one of the most versatile and flexible digital camera back ranges in the high-end photographic market today.
