Standard N.D Filters:
• Neutral density camera filters (also known as NDs) produce a grey neutral tone and are used to reduce light in photographs, enabling more control over exposure and depth of field without affecting colour or contrast, and are available in small increments.
• They are especially useful when you are taking photos in bright light conditions to avoid overexposure. Since Hitec ND camera filters uniformly reduce light at all wavelengths, there is no effect of the colour rendition.
• Neutral Density filters enable you to choose slow shutter speeds for your exposures, effective especially with high speed films, allowing you to record movement in subjects such as waterfalls, clouds, etc.
• They will also allow you to decrease your depth of field by allowing you wider apertures when shooting, which helps separate subjects from their background. You will also be able to use high speed film even in very bright light, as overexposure is eliminated by reducing the amount of light reaching your film.
