This Grad Kit contains 3 popular grads used to enhance your landscape images - a Tobac 2, Coral 2, and Straw 2 all in soft edge. Combine this with a reverse grad ND kit to give you the ultimate in sunrise and sunset effects.

• The Tobac soft edge color graduated filter is a warm brownish orange giving a "tobacco" effect.
• The Straw soft edge graduated filter is a vibrant gold/yellow warming color.
• The Coral soft edge color graduated effects filter is a pale pink color. Coral Filters can be considered as both Color Correction and Color Effects Filters and are used to warm cool lighting situations such as overcast days.

All 3 filters are available in 3 densities (1, 2, and 3) but for the kit Formatt-Hitech has chosen the most used density of 2. Soft edge grads have a gradual transition from clear to ND. Different graduated color filters can be used in combination together or with solid color or neutral density filters to give interesting bespoke effects. Formatt-Hitech filters are made from the highest quality 1.5mm optical resin.

Intro to Color Filters
Color filters offer the photographer a wide pallet of create options for using color to enhance an image. Color filters can be used subtly, for example to add a vintage look to your image or add a little more blue to the sky. But color filters can be used to dramatically to create memorable images that would have been otherwise impossible without them. Both photographers and cinematographers have used color filters for decades as on-camera visual effects to enhance the drama and impact of their photos.

Soft Edge Grads
Soft Edge graduated filters transition across the filter toward the center, and although there is a horizon line, it is subtle. This allows for horizon transitions to be more easily hidden in a scene, especially with an undulating horizon line such as mountains, buildings or trees.
