About Hoya 72 FL-W

Florescent lighting has characteristics that affect color rendition. This color shift is not usually visual to the human eye but will cause adverse effects on film.

When shooting under "daylight" florescents your pictures will have a purplish tone. Hoya's FL-D filter corrects and restores a normal color balance.

In industrial situations you might encounter "warm white" florescents which will give a greenish tone, requiring Hoya's FL-W corrective filter.

Both filters are available in coated and multi coated (stronger flare prevention) versions and all popular sizes.

The Hoya 72 FL-W is commonly used for Image manipulation and more. The Hoya 72 FL-W is most used by customers who consider themselves to be a Photo enthusiast among others.

Excellent product

I use an FLW filter late afternoon-early evening to help create absolutely beautiful sunsets and to enhance the entire picture. It is one of my favorite filters.

Great results

By

This nice magenta filter enhances the nice sunrises and sunsets in my photographs. I use this filter on my kit lens from my Nikon D600 and have been getting stunning results. This is great if you want to add a light hue to your pictures. I am very happy with it.

FLW Filter

By

I use this filter on my 24-85 kit lens mounted on my D600. I use it for shooting sunrises & sunsets. Results are fantastic. Makes ordinary images really pop. I prefer to modify my images using in camera settings & filters. I don't do much post processing.

I find that this filter makes life easier for me when I photograph in fluorescent lite. I do less post processing because of it.
