About Hoya

Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarised and polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camara lens.
• They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc.
• They also saturate colors and increase contrast.
•Polarizers come in two variations but have the same effect. Linear polarizers work with older camera meters; Circurlar polarizers are designed for today's newer split-beam metering systems used in auto focus cameras. Check your camera's manual.

Works great!

Having a polarizing filter in the bag has been a great comfort to me through the years. My biggest problem with these filters is that sometimes I forget to take them off! They are indespensible when shooting at the ocean or pool to reduce reflections, and they can create dramatic skies if used at the proper time of day. With a 24mm lens, I have to be careful with vignetting. This filter is wider that some I have had in the past which can cause problems if you are not careful.

Hoya CP Multicoated Glass Filter

By

from Myrtle Beach, SC

I use the CP filter with landscape photography and generally when I am outside taking pictures. What I really like about that the Polarizing maximum is indicated on the ring with a small triangle. It makes it much easierand faster to use the others. The quality I saw in the pictures taken with this filer are good if not exceelent

Hoya 77mm Circular Polarizer Multi Coate

By

from Lafayette, LA  -  Tech Savvy

This filter is a workhorse. It's a good choice for the money. A polarizer is an indispensable tool and Hoyas are top quality. I've had this for about a year now. While scratches are clearly visible, it doesn't affect performance in the least. A great buy on a must have filter. Highly recommended.

Great addition to any lens

By

from Friendswood, TX  -  Photo Enthusiast

I purchased this with a Canon EF 300MM f/4.0 IS lens. The filter is a great complement to a very good lens. For outdoors shot, this lens is a must.

Also purchased the 77mm UV Multi coated glass filter at the same time and both filters are excellent. BTW: Just a word about ADORAMA they continue to provide the best online shopping experience. :)
