Absolutely terrible.

I recently bought a used 1D mkIV from Adorama and instead of sending me an actual battery and actual charger, they sent me this poor excuse for a battery with some cheap knock off charger. I wouldn't really mind, but the battery just flat out doesn't work. When I received the camera, the battery appeared to be brand new but would only hold a charge for about 100 shots. Over the course of the past four days it has gotten to the point where the battery is just flat dead and will not accept a charge at all. AND, since I didn't receive an actual Canon charger with my Canon camera, I can't attempt to recondition the battery to see if it's even salvageable. I already contacted Adorama about this matter and asked for the Canon battery and charger that should of came with the camera and they are at least sending me a Canon battery at no cost to me. Don't waste your time with this battery.

Not recognized by Camera

It will run the camera but I will never know how much charge is left until it runs out because the camera can't read it. Good for an emergency.

Do not purchase

Ordered two batteries, one would not charge the other only partially. As they say, you get what you pay for.

So far so good

By

There is nothing to complain about this battery so far. Charged it, went to a weekend shoot. After about 1000 clicks my 1DIV told me that there was still 22% power left. So far it behaves just like the original Canon battery.

Dead after three uses

This battery only lasted for three charges before it totally failed. You usually get what you pay for and that is very true on this item. I would suggest you not take a chance with this brand of battery.

Also fits Mark IV

By

This battery also fits a Canon EOS-1D Mark IV Digital Camera. The number of shots taken and the percentage of battery power left is also displayed in the camera's menu.

Trash

Disappointed with the fit right off the bat. Put it on the charger for a few minutes to see if it worked, shot a few images, put it back on the charger and that was the end of the battery. Looks like Canon's batteries are the only way to go on pro cameras. This shouldn't even be for sale. Need to get around to sending this back.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  How well does this battery work in a 1D X?
BRIAN R  WHEN these batteries work, they work well in my 1D Mk3, but they are junk, really. One of the two works only 10% of the time. Wish Lenmar still offered a replacement. If anyone can suggest a good non-OEM replacement, I'd love to know.
Randy S  Does this battery charge in the canon charger and will the 1d mark iv read the battery info and register the flashpoint battery like a oem?
ANDY W  As far as I can tell, the battery works just like an OEM Canon battery. The camera shows charge remaining. The OEM Canon charger can charge and/or calibrate the battery. I am very please with the battery. It lasts about the same as an OEM Canon battery.
