These batteries charge in the charger that came with the camera, and seem to work just like the manufacturers' original.

This battery is an inexpensive replacement for the brand name LP-e6. For the money, you can buy 2—if you're really worried about comparable battery life.

As per spec : "1400 mAh (some are 1700 mAh)" We were not so lucky and got those @ 1400. These hold 78% of what original promisses. Sporting 20% of the original street price. Nothing can be stated about longivity at this time. Make your choice. We did. :)

I have a Canon EOS 7D and an EOS 5D MK II. Fortunately they both take the same batteries. No matter where you buy them, over time batteries deteriorate and will not take and hold a charge well. I bought these on the Adorama 2 for 1 sale. Even at full regular price, these batteries are about half the price of Canon. They work perfectly. The camera recognizes them and counts the shutter releases and the amount of charge remaining, just the same as the Canon named batttery. Wouild definitely buy these again, and I strongly recommend you consider them.

I was looking for a good backup to my primary battery. This one holds a charge well and was the right price!

This is a great alternative to an OEM battery. Works just like the original. Camera recognizes these batteries and you can register them through the camera. Bought two and they work great in my grip.

At 1/3 the price of the Canon version, you can't go wrong. I've just replaced my two batteries (one Canon & one Flashpoint placed in the two battery pack system attached to my 5DM3) that have taken over 15,000 shots.

I got one of these free with the purchase of my 5DMIII. I put the battery in my 7D tonight and it wouldn't turn on. That's never happened to me before so i figured it may just need to be charged. I set it up to charge and the charge light started blinking. Came back five minutes later and the light was off. Tried another plug and nothing. Hopefully this was just a lemon battery but I probably wouldn't ever purchase one.

Charged and identified by my 7D and 5D Mark III. So far no problems and appears to last as long as Canon oem battery during a shoot.

Took a chance on non Canon battery. Works great at a fraction of the cost. I recommend to others.

This is a backup for my Canon 6d and works well. I spend long days and nights shooting and often will discharge the OEM battery and need a backup.

They aren't bad. But they definitely will hold a lot less power then the standard Canon ones. I shoot video so maybe these ones aren't quite made to withstand so much usage of the LCD screen (helps a lot when using external monitor). The end.

They work as advertised although the build quality may be suspect. One of the two that I bought recently had a charging pin bend the first time I inserted it into the charger. It worked fine but it caused the battery not to come out of the camera when i tried it in the camera. The other battery that I bought was fine. On the plus side, the 5DmkIII doesn't complain about it being a 3rd party battery like it does with some of the other batteries I own. It's a minor annoyance because you have to remember to clear the message before you can start shooting.

Early days but the battery is recognised and registered by my Canon 7D. Charges on the regular Canon charger correctly. So far no problems and I would purchase another one.

Didn't charge with my Canon charger, so I sent it back without the chance to use it at all.

These batteries are great to have on standby when running around getting coverage. Lightweight and inexpensive, last as long as the Canons lifewise.

It's a cheaper alternative to the canon battery. Is it identical to the canon- hard to say- but it gets the job done when you need an extra battery.

For the value of this product it exceeds my expectations. It worked just as good as the canon battery.

I have used the Flashpoint battery products for numerous years and have had no failures. I have used them in my 5D, 40D, T3i, and now my 5D Mark III. Great product at a reduced cost.

The Cannon D6 does not play well with this battery. It will power the Camera just fine, but the camera will not indicate the charge level of the battery. Instead, it always shows a flashing battery icon. It does not play well with the Cannon OEM charger. The charger charges, but does not indicate charge level, you only see a rapid flash.

the cannon battery flashes differently as it becomes more charged then the light turns green when fully charged. The LPE6 battery in the charger just flashes the 0-25% flash. I called to tell you and was left on hold until I finally hung up. When I call to buy something I get right through....go figure.

This battery is not compatible with my Canon 6D. I can still use it but will not display the life level. It shows empty on the screen. Does not last very long. Good for emergency backup.
TZU L.
This battery is fully compatible with the original Canon battery and does not require a special charger.
