It works as advertised. For those of you having problems, this battery WILL NOT charge on your current charger, nor will it show status in the viewfinder or on the camera. Canon batteries have a special chip in them to show this and to work with its chargers. These batteries do not have the chip. You will need to buy a 3rd party charger in order to charge it.

Don't waste your time.
I bought two of these for my 5D Mark II. They were on sale at the time and very cheap. When I placed them in the camera, the camera did not recognize the battery. When I tried charging them, the charger did not recognize them (no blinking light indicating that it's charging. Guess I'm just going to have to go with the real deal.
