I love this camera!

This is a wonderful camera. From the very first shot I took I knew this camera was something else. It feels almost like this camera was designed just for me. Every button perfectly placed, and every function thoroughly thought through. They weren't kidding when Canon was said to listen to its customers. Awesome camera. The 18-55mm it comes with is a good starter lens.

Fantastic value!

By

from Aviano Italy  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

I've owned a couple digital cameras and quite a few film cameras over the years. I would have to say that this camera is as easy to operate as any digital camera out there and easily meets or exceeds many high end film cameras in image quality. It's a faithful camera no matter what the subject matter is. I have barely scratched the surface when it comes to what the D30 offers and I'm quite sure that I will not be disappointed with what it has to offer.

Better than I thought!

By

from Oregon  -  Professional

I have only had the camera for a few days but it has exceeded my expectations. I've used the Canon EOS system for over 12 years now and going with the 30D has just improved my final product I can offer to my customers! For the $$ it's a big bang.

Great camera!!!

By

from North Carolina  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

This is Canon's best camera for the price. You get almost all of the features of their [...] Pro models for less than half the price. I have shot over 600 photos on one battery charge and still had plenty of battery power left. I take photos almost every day with this camera and have yet to be disappointed! (Note:The attached sample photos have been greatly reduced from the original resolution.)

This is a fantastic camera. There are so many options you can use to get exactly the image you want. Once you learn all of the controls and get to know them, this is an easy camera to use. Be prepared to spend time learning all of the capabilities of this camera. Once you do, you'll get the full benefit of the camera and excellent images.
