Under $100, easy to use, wide angle, low light, bright LCD, HD video, fits in pocket, and uses AA batteries. With 16MP and 5x zoom this is a great all around camera. Sharp clear pictures, and great resolution. I did notice it set off the flash too often and was slow to recycle. There is an off button which helps, but you have to remember to turn it back on. The A810 is identical, but without a viewfinder. Use Nihm batteries for best results, but Alkaline will work in a pinch. Lighter than other Canons, but feels and looks plastic.

This is a great purse camera to have with you all the time. It is one of the last small inexpensive cameras to have a view finder which is absolutely necessary if you want to compose shots well outside on a sunny day. The only downside is the battery life was horrible until I switched to Lithium rechargables. Now much better.

This is a great little camera. The menu hierarchy is intuitive, very easy to use. Don't need to carry the manual around with you. The choice of buttons on the back is perfect. Want to shoot a movie? Just push the red button. Also easy on batteries. I use Eneloop technology batteries and they last for a very long time before they need recharging.
